Where they differ

Where they are alike
Eating out is the closest match. Both offer a similar number of restaurants near the centre; Singapore's range of kitchens is somewhat wider, but that is variety rather than quantity.

What the numbers don't tell you
No cost comparison is possible here. The dataset carries no daily budget figure for either city, so nothing on this page supports calling one cheaper than the other; the value figures rest on a different measure entirely. If budget decides your trip, price it yourself.
Singapore's coastal advantage is real, but rain is constant: no month falls below 109mm, and November and December are heavier still. Bangkok's dry window is genuinely dry, though it sits at the turn of the year, and its museums and bars are spread out, so a large count does not mean a short walk.
When should you go?

Singapore barely changes: highs of 31-32°C in every month, so the decision is about rain rather than heat. Its drier stretch runs February to September, roughly 109-167mm, which makes it the better bet through Bangkok's wet months.
