No cost comparison is possible here. Neither city carries a daily budget figure in this data, and the value figure is a national price level, identical for the two by construction, so it says nothing about which trip costs less. Treat that axis as blank rather than as a tie.

Belfast's closeness to the coast is about access, not swimming. The sea peaks at 14°C in September, once the air has begun cooling, so those beaches are for walking more than bathing. Rain is a constant in both: no month falls to 40mm or less, and a warm month is not a dry one.
