Where they are alike

What the numbers don't tell you

The value comparison between these two carries no information. It is a national price level, identical for both by construction, and the €155 daily budget beside it is one national estimate rather than a measurement of either city, so neither can be called the cheaper trip on this evidence.

Catania's beach advantage is about proximity, not season. The sea sits at 15-16°C from January through April, so the strongest-rated spring month is not a swimming month. Rome's warmth lingers into autumn, but those are also the wettest weeks of its year, above 100mm a month.
