Where they differ

What the numbers don't tell you
The daily budget figures, €155 for Italy and €138 for Croatia, are national price levels for restaurants and hotels, not measurements of either city. A large city can sit well above its own national average, and a coastal town above it in season, so the gap between the two countries says little about what either trip will cost.
