The weather picture is also incomplete: no sunshine figure exists for Kuala Lumpur, so its monthly ratings rest on temperature, rainfall and sea temperature alone. And neither city offers relief from heat or humidity: highs sit at 31-34°C every month of the year, and Jakarta's warm sea and nearby beaches coincide with its wettest months, when rain runs to 355mm.
