Where they differ
Sorrento's advantage is the water. The sea is 0km from the centre against 26km from Tirana's, and 78 beaches sit nearby where Tirana has none. Its swimming season runs to 5 months of sea at 21°C or more, reachable on foot, and there is 1 theme park within reach.
Tirana is the stronger base on foot: many times as many notable places sit within walking distance of the centre, and far more tourist attractions and park space sit close in, which matters with children in tow.
Where they are alike

Sorrento's beach advantage is a count of 78 beaches, not a measure of space on them. Its warmest and driest weeks, July and August, are also its busiest, so the best conditions and the heaviest crowds arrive together.
The daily budget figures, €155 and €76, are national price levels for restaurants and hotels, not measurements of either city. A capital and a heavily visited coastal town can each sit far from their country's average, by more than the gap between the two figures, so read them as country context rather than trip costs.
