Where they differ
Bratislava keeps things close together: its museums sit tightly around the centre, and most of its bars and clubs are there too. Open country is nearer as well, with 14% of the land around the city protected against 4% around Vienna.
Vienna is the bigger city in every direction: roughly three times as many museums, restaurants and places to drink, twice as many notable buildings within walking distance of the centre, and 4 theme parks within reach against Bratislava's 1.
Where they are alike
The two share a single weather record: daytime highs of 3-27°C across the year, July the warmest and January the coolest, the same annual sunshine and the same rainfall through the year, driest at 38mm.
Neither city is on the coast, so the beaches counted near each come with no swimming season attached. Both are also limited for day trips beyond the city, and the amount of park space near the centre is much the same in either.

What the numbers don't tell you
The daily budget figures, €132 and €160, are national estimates of restaurant and hotel price levels, not measurements of Bratislava or Vienna. Capitals and heavily visited cities can sit a long way from their own country's average, by more than the gap between these two figures, so treat them as a note on the two countries rather than a reason to pick one city.
The two share one weather record, and its warmest months are also its wettest, at 70-80mm from May to August. Beaches are counted near both, but there is no sea, so the counts say nothing about a swimming season.

Vienna's calendar is otherwise the same. Take June to August, at 25-27°C, when the museums and restaurants sit alongside long warm evenings; May is the wettest of the warm months at 80mm, so late summer is the safer bet. February is Vienna's one milder month, at 6°C.
