Where they differ

What the numbers don't tell you
The daily budgets, €163 for Germany and €155 for Italy, are national estimates of restaurant and hotel prices rather than measurements of either city. A large or heavily visited city can sit further from its national average than these two figures sit apart, so neither city is the cheaper trip on this evidence.
