Best for nature & outdoors

Landscapes and the outdoors within reach of the city: mountains, coast, forest, parks, hiking, cycling, water sports and wildlife. Swimming beaches are scored separately. Cape Town and Vancouver set the top; Doha and Macau the foot.

All 305 cities we cover, ranked on nature & outdoors. Every score is our editorial verdict, placed against the same fixed benchmark cities, so it means the same thing on every page. How the scores are built.
